Really small barely provides any light I would not recommend if you want this as a night light.

Not useful for hot climates using air conditioning. We used this in our room when bub was a bewborn and sleeping in a bassinet next to our bed. We live in rural qld and the outside temp was 40+ degrees. The egg displayed as hot despite mum and dad turning the ac to 16 degrees, the room felt so cold we needed a doona to sleep. It over complicated our temperature control of the room

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a must have in your baby’s bedroom Colour changing indicating wether it’s too cold or too hot in the room very convenient as our baby monitor doesn’t always display the correct temp so this is very accurate nice little design too it’s also a dimmable night light too which is great would definitely recommend this to other parents

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent this product by Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. The gro egg2 is an amazing addition to any nursery. It’s a great digital room thermometer which changes colour to show the temperature of the room so you can adapt your child’s bedding, clothing or room temperature accordingly. This is particularly handy to make sure your little one is dressed appropriately for bedtime in the winter and that the room doesn’t get too hot in the summer. We’ve just moved our rooms around and I know our little ones new room is a bit colder than the previous one so this will be particularly good so we can keep an eye on it over the coming winter months. 16°C and below: Cold - the thermometer will glow blue 16° - 20°C: Recommended - the thermometer will glow yellow 20° - 24°C: Warm - the thermometer will glow orange Over 24°C: Hot - the thermometer will glow red It is powered by a USB cable which is compatible with most USB plugs used as phone chargers and is an enclosed unit which appears to give it a little protection. The light has 3 different brightness levels so you can use as a nightlight or you can just choose to have the led display on it. This is a really great little device.

It’s a night light and a thermometer un the same time, what I love the most It shows the temperature and the light changes the colour If It’s too hot or too cold (gets blue) in the room so It also keeps the baby safe. Gets just the right amount of light in the room. It’s usb powered, very light and made from the great material, which can’t be destroyed easily. Very good night light for a nursery room.

The egg itself if made from a rubber material which bounces if dropped at 3am in the morning. The lead is a good length. No need to faff with setting it, you just plug it in and it's done. There's a key on yhe back with the colours to get you know what light means what temperature.

That’s why I have found this thermometer so much more reassuring with my second born child. It clearly displays the room temperature allowing me to make decisions on bedtime outfits and provides the much needed reassurance that my child will be comfy. I like the idea of the nightlight option in a range of colours which will provide additional interest when my child is a bit older. The versatility is super, and you can put it anywhere in the baby's room or nursery . The temperature gage on the device is accurate, which is great. The battery lasts around two months before having to re charge the unit.

It is a godsend as it’s simple to move from room to room (we have usb sockets built into our sockets so it is even easier that having usb plugs to use with the light). The fact that is changes colour as well as digitally showing the temperature is a huge bonus as you can glance into a room and know how warm it is. The glow is more a warm fairly light glow than a bright one but that’s perfect for a night light as you don’t want it that bright that the baby wakes up. It gives enough glow to see the child’s face when checking on them as they sleep. A rechargeable option might be a good idea in the future incase you want it on a shelf and don’t want cables trailing. Great product from a well known and trusted company.
