    Owlet sock and monitor

    by

This is great especially camera wise if you want to check throughout the night if the room is too hot or cold. In terms of the base station for the sock I’ve had to move it out of my room as the music is too loud and doesn’t stop if your child is wriggling around in the bassinet. But it’s a very handy sock to monitor oxygen and bp

    Do not buy

    by

Do not buy! Used this for 6+ months and it is terrible. Check the App Store reviews, the app simply doesn’t work most of the time. 50% of the time the camera doesn’t even connect. The sock also doesn’t connect to the app so it will sound an alarm you can’t switch off without going to the base. It’s functionally useless as a camera, when it does connect it takes 30s to 2 minutes so it’s quicker to just go and check on your baby yourself. I can’t believe this product is allowed to be sold

Do not buy - massive waste of money

    by

Do not buy - I recommend looking at the reviews on the Apple App Store and filtering by ‘most recent’. It’s a flood of 1 star reviews about how it’s an unusable product. I’m not sure how stores like Baby Bunting could be comfortable selling something so expensive and useless at the same time. The app constantly disconnects, especially in the middle of the night so the app won’t wake you when your baby is screaming. The sock alarm would go off constantly and then the app wouldn’t connect so then you were unable to stop the alarm unless you got up to manually turn it off. Moving wifi connections is near on impossible. Customer support is non-existent. Do not buy.

    Great for peace of mind

    by

Great product overall. Camera functions very well. Also includes a sensor to assess the room temperature and humidity. Only desire would be to charge the sick in a different location to the base station as we often would prefer to put the sock on in the nursery but want the alarm to sound in our bedroom. Very easy set up. Although not medical grade, the pulse oximeter in the sock is comparable and suitable for home use and puts our minds at ease which is all we wanted. There’s another review that says this product is useless because of “3G” being shut off in Australia. This is ridiculous as 3G has nothing to do with home internet/wifi! The product works fine with our standard Australian internet set up. The other reviewer must not understand home internet v phone networks.

    Useless product

    by

$650 dollars worth of garbage. I’m not sure why this product is even offered in Australia because it is virtually useless with the internet offered. We were able to use this for not even 3 months when internet providers dropped the use of 3G internet. The owlet doesn’t work off anything but 2.4. I contacted baby bunting - their “hands were tied” and then contacted owlet directly and they said “there is nothing they can do”. This product is extremely unreliable and now useless. Neither Baby Bunting or Owlet came to the party.. I am now $650 out of pocket and neither one of these multi million dollar companies will offer a refund, or even an exchange to get a different baby monitor!! Owlet needs to consider product innovation. Do not purchase if you are in Aus, it will not work!!

I have found this product really helpful - especially first couple of days after bringing my baby home. There are occasionally false alarms when my baby is kicking but it’s worth it. I particularly love that I track the patterns in wakings, deep sleep etc

    LOVE my Owlet!

    by

Absolutely love my Owlet monitor! As a first time mum, this has helped me get some sleep at night, knowing it will alarm if my babies oxygen or heart rate go out of range. I’m a Special Care Nursery nurse and usually we recommend parents to not get these kinds of monitors as it can cause more anxiety than not, but with how my daughter entered the world, I’m so glad I have one and it’s worked better for my anxiety than against it. 4/5 stars only because you’re not able to change the limits and I have contacted Owlet about this and there is no way to change them (I would ideally like to be able to increase the alarm limit for oxygen from 80% to about 85% and heart rate over 100, rather than 60). It’s not a NEED, but if you have the money to spend, then I would recommend getting it!

    Owlet smart sock

    by

This product has been my number one purchase, it gives great peace of mind to parents who are anxious about your babies when sleeping. We use it every night without a doubt as I was not sleeping due to the fear of my baby stopping breathing whilst I slept. After our little bundle of joy suffered a BRUE. The one thing is you have to ensure you are on top of cleaning the sock regularly or it does give off false connection issue alarms. I highly recommend the owlet sock to all first time parents. We have been using it for 7 months now and the extra sleep it has given us of a night time is well worth the money spent

This sucks - get the eufy instead

    by

The camera is garbage and basically never works, being over wifi it’s also prone to hacking. The sock is good but let down by the app which is unreliable. Save yourself the hassle and get the eufy sock (way better app) and a non-wifi camera (eg tweety cam etc). Or just get the sock if you really want owlet, definitely don’t bother with the camera.

Waste of money and adds to anxiety.

    by

I got this in December for my newborn. The paring is so temperamental. I have stood over my newborns cot in middle of the night multiple times hoping the QR code would register and connect. Currently she is unmonitored while I wait to hear back from support. My baby also kicks off the sock / hates it so alarm actually adds to anxiety.

Great product for peace of mind!

    by

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Owlet monitor duo 2 is a great product to have for peace of mind! As first time parents (who are anxious and doubting ourselves most days) we love how it tracks our son’s sleep patterns, heart rate and oxygen level all while streaming video which can be watched from your phones. It gives us better sleep knowing that our baby's vitals are being monitored and stopped me from getting up and checking up on him constantly! Also love that we can save and watch clips learning his cues before he wakes up and learn from there. The streaming is a little bit laggy and the wifi setup took a lot of work but other than that great product overall.

    Registry necessity

    by

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The owlet monitor duo 2 was a bit of work to set up but absolutely worth it! The reassurance it’s provided is unbelievable! Our bub is nearly four months old and going through a regression, we the extra information about his sleep patterns and movements and such a transitional time. Loved being able to track through our phone as it allowed us to get more done. the camera quality can be a bit grainy at times and our wifi is a bit inconsistent so sometimes it was hard to know if it was the camera itself. The app is logical and easy to use with great user functionality The duo was more for us then our bub and we can’t recommend it enough - would be a great item to put on your baby registry!

Must Have Monitor - For Peace Of Mind

    by

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this product! It's been a game-changer for me as a first time Mum. It gives me peace of mind knowing that I will be alerted to any fluctuations in my baby's heart rate or oxygen levels allowing a more restful sleep for both me and the bub. The app is jam packed with features and lots of data on your baby's health. Also loved the fact that you can stream the video and audio from anywhere - this is so convenient. Would highly recommend this product and feel it's and essential tool for all parents who prioritise their baby's safety and want to stay connected, even when they're not physically present.
