Medela Silicone Breast Milk Collector

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i love this milk catcher. yes they are similar to other brands out there but it does the job. it does have a strong suction so its pretty good at getting out the letdown. so easy and simple to wash and sterilise and i love how handy it is that it comes with a lid and little stopper thing

Love this. Was looking for the Haakaa one but this one was great. Used this to start getting used to expressing. I was able to collect a decent amount of colostrum by letting the suction and gravity get milk/colostrum from my breasts. I still use with my newborn. I breastfeed on my side and use this on the other. The lanyard helps a lot ive tipped it many times and only just figured out a system to stop wasting my milk. It's great for collecting let down and sometimes its just better for me than the portable breast pump

Terrible. Save your money and buy the Haaka brand. The suction on this pump is so bad, it always falls off and I end up covered in milk. I have the haaka silicone pump and can confirm it is so much better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such a convenient product to just gently catch milk from the opposite side while feeding, we normally just freeze in little trays for convenience and mainly used as ice blocks for teething it was so easy to use. Definitely recommend using the strap it comes with as it's quite easy for bub to kick or knock off causing spillages

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely loved using these when I was breastfeeding to catch milk that was dripping on the other side/gently pull milk while feeding. I only dialed that my boys were able to kick them off or sometimes they popped off and I lost ounces of milk. But I still loved using it. I didn’t have the lanyard (was gifted by a friend and they lost the lanyard). Highly recommend!

Would use as an only source for breast pump but was good for collecting let down. Was easy to clean and stood steady on the table

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is advertised as a milk collector but I’d say it’s more of a pump due to the suction. Suctions well, comfortable to wear and does the job. I like that it has a suction base and comes with a lid and stopper. Very similar to the haakaa and a bit cheaper I think with all the extras

Pros: Milk collectors are extremely useful. They allow you to catch and store the let-down that leaks from the other breast while nursing. Medela seems to be good quality in comparison to other cheaper brands I have purchased. They include a handy lanyard which helps to catch the collector cup if it falls off. Cons: The collector tends to fall off once it hits a certain weight. They claim to hold 100ml, but I find it safest to empty when it hits 50ml. If it falls off, you can end up with a milky mess which can be frustrating when you are in the middle of a feed. I assume this is an issue with all brands.

Works beautifully as either a pump or milk collector. I get engorged breasts, so use this to drain off some milk before feeding Bub. It suctions on and can drain milk easily for me - I often use the suction to start the process, but then release it and continue with hand-expressing into the bottle as I don't want the continued suction to trigger an over-supply. The yellow lid fits well and then I simply pop into the fridge to chill and then add to my previously expressed milk to freeze for future use. Works exactly like my Haka - but I actually prefer it as the suction cap on the bottom means it won't fall over in the fridge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great pump. Very comfortable to use when travelling or especially through the night when you don’t really want to set up you electric pump. Definitely recommended! Does amazing job.
